A note from your Parent Coordinator..

When a parent/guardian has a problem or concern, where does one go to resolve it? I plan to serve as a key resource for you throughout the school year to provide you with the assistance and tools you will need to help make your child’s high school experience a positive and productive one. In the event that you encounter a problem or concern, I will gladly intercede on your behalf. Keep in mind that although the teachers, guidance counselors and administrators at Tottenville High School are always willing to help with any concerns you might have regarding your child, it is always best to follow the proper protocol, or “chain of command”, and first speak to the appropriate person. Generally, if the concern is an instructional one, the first person to contact is the teacher, followed by the Assistant Principal of that subject area. Other concerns may be directed to your child’s guidance counselor, followed by the Assistant Principal of Guidance. It is unlikely that the concern will not be resolved at this level. If, however, it is not resolved, I can facilitate your making an appointment to see the Principal. As always, I continue to make the concerns of parents and students my first and foremost priority.
